Meet the Principal
I grew up in Westhope, which is located in north central North Dakota. While in high school, I was active in football, basketball, and baseball. Upon high school graduation, I attended Minot State University and earned my degree in elementary education. Elementary education always interested me, as I enjoy working with children and having the opportunity to give back to a community. Early in my career I coached both varsity boys and girls basketball. I taught elementary school for nine years. While teaching I worked towards a masters degree in Educational Leadership. Since earning my masters degree from the University of Mary, I’ve worked as a school administrator for the past seventeen years.
I’ve really enjoyed my career, as I’ve had the opportunity to meet numerous wonderful families. My career has also provided me the fortune of building life-long relationships.
During the summer and fall months, I enjoy relaxing with my family while we camp and fish. I’ve always admired at what carpenters can build, hence I’ve dabbled in carpentry for a few years. However, my favorite hobby is riding my Harley Davidson motorcycle with my buddies.
